So, Elder house and I went to Billings yeaterday for training on some new stuff that is happening. One thing is that we are a pilot mission for using facebook as a missionary tool. The first mission to do it was in New York. Now ours is the second.
We are using it to stay in touch with members in the area we serve and as their friends see us being added they may take an interest. We will deal mostly with people where we serve. Our purpose will be to do missionary work. Not to chat and talk with family everyday. It's going to be one more thing we can use to find people to teach. President Gardner should be sending a letter home because of this new stuff going on. Just in case you don't believe me haha. Our mission cant really believe it, but it's really happening and now we get to see if we can help out the efforts even more. We were told there are more than 500 billion people on facebook and 700 billion possibly by the end of the year. The church is trying to use the internet for it's benefit. We are taking the internet back, and use it for what it is intended to be used for. Missionary Work. Family and Friends are welcomed to Follow on Facebook, however, it should not be used to comunicate with family. The Lord is putting a lot of trust in missionaries using this program, so we can further the work.
We will plan nightly as usual and as we plan we will plan one hour a day to proselyte online. I thought at first when we were being told about it that it would take so much away, however as I have though about it I think it will only help us and give us MORE to do.
